Our mission is to foster a culture of giving and support that empowers individuals to overcome challenges and thrive. Through every note played and every act of kindness, we create lasting bonds that uplift spirits and transform lives.
About Me
Joshua Kalarical
Founder and President
My name is Joshua Kalarical, and I am the Founder and President of Harmony Haven. As a rising senior at Lake Zurich High School with aspirations of becoming a physician, I have discovered that service to others lies at the heart of both my personal values and professional goals. My journey with Harmony Haven began through my experiences performing at senior care facilities, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that music has on individuals' well-being. The joy, comfort, and connection that music creates inspired me to establish this organization as a way to systematically bring these meaningful experiences to more people throughout our community. Music has been central to my life both academically and personally. I serve as first chair double bassist for the Lake Zurich High School Symphony Orchestra and perform with the ILMEA District 7 Orchestra. My commitment to excellence and leadership extends beyond music through my involvement in the National Honor Society and
Tri-M Music Honor Society. Additionally, I serve as Secretary and incoming President of Tutor4Service, another nonprofit organization dedicated to community impact. When I'm not focused on music or academics, I volunteer at our local hospital, enjoy playing tennis and basketball, and spend time reading and connecting with friends. These diverse experiences have shaped my understanding of community needs and reinforced my belief in the power of service. I am incredibly proud of what Harmony Haven represents and excited about the positive impact we will continue to make as our organization grows and evolves.
